There was a lot of good competition at today PAC Championship finals. The boys and girls team battled hard and put up a lot of personal bests.

Jaden Walz continued to dominate the long jump, staying undefeated and winning the gold at the PAC. This is her second consecutive season where she stayed undefeated in the conference and won the PAC Championship. Jaden jumped her personal best and got within 1.5 inches of the high school record, by jumping an amazing 17’0.5”. Jaden was the anchor on the girls 4 X 100 Relay team. Jaida Dominguez, Milena Fernandez, Mikyla Moore and Jaden placed 5th in the 4 X 100 and ran their best time all season. Kemp Khay once again shined in the 110 Hurdles. It was a photo finish between 3rd, 4th and 5th place, but ultimately Kemp finished in 5th.

With a rough first day behind them, the Canes battled hard on Thursday and had some good things happen. Next stop, districts. The boys team will compete in Cuyahoga Hts on Wednesday and Friday. The Lady Canes will compete in Bedford on Thursday and Saturday.
