The Brooklyn Varsity Baseball team finished their 2019 schedule by losing to first place Columbia High School by the score of 16-9. The Hurricanes played tough behind the pitching performance of Freshman John Pierson. Pierson pitched 5 innings only giving up 6 earned runs and gaining 4 strike outs.

The offense scored 4 runs in the second inning when Jared Greene hit a double that scored 2 runs . Then the Hurricane Bats fell silent until the bottom of the 7th inning. when the offense scored 5 more runs. Leading the batters on Brooklyn’s side was Brandon Tanski with 2 hits, 2 RBI’s and a walk. Jared Greene, Elliot Loy, Nick Baldwin, Aaron Wrost and Alex Hernandez all had a hit a piece.
