It was a cold spring morning at Brookside Park where the Hurricanes played on the newly turfed Talty Field. The varsity baseball team played neighborhood rival Rhodes but came up short losing by the score of 9-5. Too many early walks led to early runs by the Rams. The Hurricanes battled back chipping away at Rhodes lead with runs in the fourth, fifth, and seventh innings. Leading Brooklyn offence was sophomore Nate Wilson with three hits. Jeremiah Gonzalez and Alex Hernandez each added two hits and Jimmy Gray, James Trunkett, Dominic Barry and Adam Coyle added a hit a piece. The Hurricanes travel to play Trinity on Monday in a 4:30 conference game.
