The Hurricanes lost their home opener last night to Cardinal 75-50. The team started off fast with a 14-5 run to open the game. The Huskies closed the first quarter on a 9-0 run to tie the score before the end of the quarter. A slow start to the 2nd quarter put the Hurricanes behind trying to play catch up the rest of the game. The Huskies improve to 2-7 as the Hurricanes look to bounce back in their next game.
Leading scorer for Brooklyn was Jaiden Basinger with 16 points followed by Jacob Sullivan with 11 points. Other scorers included Jordyn Fougerousse with 10 points, Raymier Cogburn with 4 points and Ryan Cutright with 3 points. Justin Pokorny, Tyler Elzholz, and Maceo Pytel each added 2 points.
