The Lady Canes came back in the second half and scored three goals to beat visiting Mapleton High School with a score of 3-2. The Mounties got on the board first scoring the only goal in the first half. With 42 seconds into the second half, Brooklyn’s Delaney David dropped a pass to Senior Kelsey Bruzek who put the ball in the back of the net. Bruzek wasn’t done, just yet as she scored three minutes later with an unassisted goal after beating a defender and letting the ball rip from the Mounties 25 yard line. David then sealed the win six minutes later scoring the third goal of the game. Although Mapleton answered with less than a minute later, Brooklyn did not give up and continued to play hard defense the rest of the game. Jillian Treska who was in goal for Brooklyn had 8 saves.
