Despite the excitement of opening night, Brooklyn had trouble finding any sort of rhythm Tuesday night before eventually falling to Cardinal 40 – 31. Digging itself an early 7-0 hole, the Hurricanes tried to claw back several time, closing the gap to just 5 points several times. But after a long layoff, the offense just couldn’t get anything going consistently. Defensively the ‘Canes looked solid, offering multiple blocks and outrebounding Cardinal by double digits.
