The Hurricanes baseball team was down 3-1 in the 5 inning and than scored two runs in the 6th and three runs in the 7th to get the Patriot conference victory over Black River. Aaron Wrost laced a single down the third base line to score two runs and take the lead in the top of the seventh inning.
In the bottom of the 7th, Tristen Peggs threw out two base stealers to stifle the rally by the Pirates.
Senior Jarod Greene, pitching in his last high school game, struck out the last batter to seal the victory. Greene started the Game and registered 8 strike outs in the victory. Greene also gained his 100 career strike outs at Brooklyn.
Aaron Wrost lead the offense with 3 singles and 3 RBI’s. Greene, Peggs and Brandon Tanski each had a hit.
The Hurricanes will end their season at home on Thursday against Oberlin and Columbia on Friday. Come out and support your team!
